Notice of Trustee's Sale (NOTS)
The recorded and published notice that sets the date, time and place of the auction.

- This is the second notice and the serious one. It names a specific date, a specific place and an opening figure, and it is posted on the property and published in a local newspaper.

- A trustee records the notice, posts it on the front door, and runs it in the paper for three consecutive weeks before the sale date.
- Why it matters
- The window for reinstatement usually closes a set number of days before the date this notice names, so the date on it is the real deadline.
